Amstrad CPC - PSPCAP32 v1.1.2 Description: Zx-81 has released an updated version of his PSPCAP32 CPC emulator for the PSP, updating it to version 1.1.2. This release is a lot similar to the updates in PSPAtari v1.0.4, with graphical improvements to the GUI provided by Shadow, with a couple of bug fixes and the addition of sleep mode support. Here's the full changelog:
- Added icons and background designed by Shadow !
- Modified the UI to be able to use custom background images (transparency)
- Sleep mode is now working (but only when you're in the emulator window)
- Bug fix in danzeff keyboard (wrong key mapping)
Now, with the danzeff keyboard mapping bug fixed, you can enjoy CPC emulation perfection, and leave your PSP in PSPCAP32 when it's in sleep mode! Just remember to only use sleep mode when you are in the emulator window! Otherwise you may awaken your PSP to find that it has crashed.
PSPCAP32 comes packaged in a zip archive containing both 1.0 and 1.5 binary versions as well as the source code and keyboard files. Version: Filesize: 0 Bytes Added on: 11-Oct-2006 Downloads: 4 Rate Resource | Details

PSPBEEB: BBC Micro Emulator for PSP v1.0.7 Description: The last time Zx-81 released PSPBEEB, he was kind of hoping it'll be the final release for this BBC emulator. But, we're guessing there's more of us hoping that it wasn't and our collective hopes lead to v1.0.7. Hopefully, there'll be more versions to come.
Changelog:
* Multiple keyboard mapping feature developped by Pou-chan:
* You can now toggle between 3 different keyboard mapping (using for example LTrigger and RTrigger keys)
* Bug fix in the keyboard skin chooser (that made the emu crashed)
* Add new keyboard files from Bah and Pou-chan
A very articulate Read Me file will take you through the history of this very famous emulator as well the whole of the installation process.
Installation:
* Unzip the zip file, and copy the content of the directory fw2.x or fw1.5 (depending of the version of your firmware) on the psp/game directory.
* Put your disk image files on "discs" sub-directory.

Capcom Play System 1 - CPS1PSP v1.0 Description: Here's another something from good ol' NJ. After releasing the fixed version of his Capcom CPS2 emulator Beta, he has finally released a new version of his CPS1 emulator for the PSP. Now this, we can expect to be a really cool treat.
The source we got it from was in Japanese, and as usual, the language barrier was a bit tough to crack. But nonetheless, since we don't want to fail you fans out there, we've somehow managed to get a rough translation of the important stuff related to this emulator. What we can deduce primarily is that the C68K core modification is the same as that of his CPS2PSP. According to NJ, this renewal is to be the last. However, he does ask for us to wait a little bit more for the source code. But he does assure that once the source is released, it will officially be done.
Here's the change log, in rough translation form:
* Modification/correction item 1.0
* C68K core modification to same ones as CPS2PSP
* Z80 core modification to CZ80
* Several bug of CZ80 correction
* Renewing processing of the basis to those which are equal to CPS2PSP
* Bootleg game of edition all deletions
* It seems that the result and some speed which drawing and processing everything were rewritten improve
* Correcting the pallet split application of the layer
* Save/Load state adding performance
* VSYNC improving the operation when effective
* Modification to the value which is thought that dip you reexamine the value of the switch, operate just
* Dip the initial value of Demo Sound of switch and Allow Continue modification to Yes
* Autofire correcting the bug which functioning is not done when function designates Rotate Screen as Yes
* The picture type of screen shot modification to PNG
* Kernel Mode adding edition
* Other modification large number
It comments about 2 points concerning the modification point.
About "Video Sync" option
* 1.0 So operation was improved.
* When it makes effective,sound somewhat becomes sacrifice, but flicker in screen is improved.
* As for the kind of game where the character blinks frequently in every frame of King of Dragons and the like effectively
* It is thought that the one which it does is good.
* By comparison with invalid state, when processing is late, because noise the paste is easy in sound, processing
* With the heavy game please make basically invalid.
Setting of recommendation when Video Sync effective is below.
* Raster Effects - OFF
* 60fps Speed Limit - OFF
* Sample Rate - 11025Hz (it depends on also the game, but you think) that above 22050Hz it is hard,
About the treatment of the game of bootleg edition
It corresponded once up to beta 3, but everything it deleted with 1.0. As for the emulator which I make basically proper version when it does not operate due to encoding and the like Excluding, it does not correspond to bootleg edition. Therefore (as for the reason simply dislike bootleg edition is, but. ) Because the future source releases, if it is necessary, please add MAME and the like to reference with each one.
Of course, if anyone out there could do a better job at translating this, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much! Version: Filesize: 994.87 Kb Added on: 12-Oct-2006 Downloads: 5 HomePage | Rate Resource | Details
Capcom Play System 2 - CPS2PSP v1.01 Description: Four reasons why you need to learn Japanese:
a) Learning another foreign language in general, is and makes you look cool.
b) You get to read mangas in their full original glory.
c) You don't need subtitles for all those zany anime shows you just can't get enough of.
d) You can make a better translation of this:
Unless roms there is a cache directory in the same class as the directory, becoming not be able to start.Because it was, correction. In the same way as the time before cache directory directly under the cps2psp directory only you use. Kernel Mode it seems that it becomes not be able to end why edition with Home, but compiling. When it does again to do, the pattern which is repaired. Cause is unclear.
The cryptic paragraph above is just one of the many notes NJ has for his nifty emu, CPS2PSP. We're sure there's a lot more in his readme, but chances are, it's in Japanese too. And if any of you guys already has a firm grasp on the language is are willing to translate the devs' updates as well the readme file, then by all means, let us know. We really appreciate any kind of help you guys give us.
And if the four reasons we already gave aren't enough, then these booth babes may probably convince you more to take Nihonggo 101. Version: Filesize: 588.46 Kb Added on: 12-Oct-2006 Downloads: 1 HomePage | Rate Resource | Details
Chip8 Emulator v1.0 Beta Description: Apsd has finally gathered up this post to release this beta version of the emulator. He calls it beta for three reasons, the first is that there is a bug he needs to weed out that causes it to improperly play tetris, the second is that the key arrangement is currently not optimized, the third is that the sound code for the single "beep" (which can be varied in length throughout the games) isn't implemented. (the Chip8 interpreter has 16 keys, so all convenient keys on the PSP are used (Circle, Triangle, Cross, Square, Up, Down, Left, Right, Analog stick up, down, left, right, and a few others... two keys are disabled in this version).
He has packaged the interpreter with just about every Chip8 game (they're public domain) he could find.
He'll release the source soon.
Expect SCHIP8 (SuperChip8- a few new instructions, extended screen) support in about two releases- these games are slightly more interesting.
Read the readme for more information, and check wikipedia if you want to learn more about CHIP-8.
Don't expect these "games" to be breathtaking. [S]CHIP-8 was a very simple interpreter. Version: Filesize: 49.04 Kb Added on: 12-Oct-2006 Downloads: 1 HomePage | Rate Resource | Details
PSPColem v1.0.6 Description: With the discontinuation of PSPVBA, Zx-81 has had time to update his other emulator projects, adding some of the refinements first achieved in PSPVBA to make his other emulators faster and more practical. With PSPAtari being updated yesterday, Zx has moved on to update another one of his emulators, this time for the Colecovision video game system.
PSPColem is a port of Marat Fayzullin's Colem, a program which emulates the ColecoVision videogame system. It's running on FreeBSD, HP-UX, SunOS, Solaris, Linux, as well as other Unix systems, and with the help of everyone's favourite emulator coder Zx-81, on the PSP.
Here's the changelog for PSPColem v1.0.6:
* Emulator menu reorganisation (new menu for settings)
* New icons and background image with help from Crait
* Battery status is now displayed in the emulator window
* Added a watchdog to automatically return to the emulator menu when the battery is very low (< 5%)

* Speed limiter option
* Delete files option (in the file selector)
* Screenshots are now saved in PNG format instead of BMP
* Huge speed improvement (that's why there is a speed limiter now)
* Bug fix

C64 Emulator for the PSP v0.4 Beta2 Description: This is some piece of homebrew news. It has been quite a while since wehave heard from Christophe and his C64 Emulator...well now he is back with an update to the PSP Vice v0.4 Beta Wip- C64 Emulator. The C64 Emulator for the PSP v0.4 Beta2 is out now! Here's a complete list of what is going with this one:
Usage :
-CROSS : Fire
-SQUARE : "Space" Key
-CIRCLE : "Enter" Key
-ARROWS : Joystick (use "swap joystick" in menu if needed)
-Analog Stick : Joystick (better than arrows for diagonals)
-TRIANGLE : Display virtual keyboard. Analog stick to move cursor.
-When keyboard is on : CROSS : Press key, SQUARE : Hold shift, CIRCLE : Hold CTRL
-START : Pause
-SELECT : MENU
-L : Quick Snapshot save
-R : Quick Snapshot load
Current Wishlist :
- Assign a keyboard key on unused pad keys (circle and square), like "space" and "enter". Useful keys : Run/stop
- Remove corrupted icon (do not hardcode the emu path)
- Bug : "?Load error" appear often. Same error on WinVice with "True drive emulatio on"
- Key mapping :
Triangle - Keyboard on/off
Square - Keyboard/Joy Hotkey 1 (set in menu)
Circle - Keyboard/Joy Hotkey 2 (set in menu)
Start + Select - Reset C64
- Add autofire
- Add a small intro during dark screen at beginning
- Optimise a bit to have less slow down (PSP sound fonction is taking lot of time)
Maybe :
- For info text display in menu, read multiples names (name & name) and put them on 2 lines
- When "shift" is pressed display "shifted keyboard" ==> Ok but need GFX. someone can do this ?
- "Swap joystick" mapped on a shortcut (which one ?)
- When saving, tell if slot are already used or free (display date) (==> No. useless)
- Manage subdirectories into game directory (user can sort games) ==> Too much work
Note : PSP can not support warpmode (not far from 100% in warpmode). Version: Filesize: 727.10 Kb Added on: 12-Oct-2006 Downloads: 4 HomePage | Rate Resource | Details
gpSP v0.8 1.0/1.50 Eboots & Source Description: Exophase dropped by our forums to inform us that he has released a new iteration of his famous GBA emulator, gpSP. gpSP is the best GBA emulator released for the PSP with great compatibility and performance. Exophase has gained instant respect and love from the scene for his emulator, and as a result everyone has been asking when the next release is. However, Exophase would like to ask everyone to stop asking him when the next release will be. Well, I'm proud to say - v0.8 has been released only a few minutes ago!
With this newest version of gpSP it adds the ability to use save states, even allowing you to map the save/load to a few buttons of your choice. The numerous number of fixes and additions can be viewed below -
* Fixed bug in dead flag elimination, "alt" version no longer needed.
* Fixed EEPROM saves being saved as 32kb instead of 512bytes/8kb
* 32MB ROM support has been added. ROMS are "demand loaded" as necessary and page swapped out; there might be a small loading lag, but I have yet to ever really notice anything.
* NOTE: 32MB ROM support only works for unzipped ROMs.
* Save states have been added. See the save state menu for save/load options.
* Support for the real-time clock (RTC) chip in Pokemon cartridegs and other games. The implementation is based off of VBA's, whatever notes on gbadev I could find, and some of my own reverse engineering of what the games do... it might not be totally correct. Also, setting the time does not work.
* Per-game configuration. Currently this only saves frameskip and frameskip variation options.
* Removed the flash type option from the menu and instead added it to game_config.txt. Hopefully got everything - let me know if you find something that isn't there. It's pretty easy to add them if you have to.
* Added a display in the upper left-hand corner to indicate when fast-forward is on.
* Added button bindings for save/load state.
* Found a fix of StrmnNrmn proportion: far too much unnecessary mutex synchronization was going on. Removing the two offending lines of code gave a massive speed boost for free. Enjoy. Version: Filesize: 896.92 Kb Added on: 12-Oct-2006 Downloads: 18 HomePage | Rate Resource | Details
