dereaper, you also have to make your homebrew compatible with 2.71-SE.
I have never used it, so can't say how-to, but I know you need a game and game150 folder or something. _________________

Yup you need both folders in the PSP folder like this:
\PSP\
\PSP\GAME\
PSP\GAME150\
Put all your homebrew in GAME150.
The other option is to change that kind of homebrew is run from the GAME folder, by default it's set for 2.71 Homebrew, but if you og into your Recovery Mode and check out the configuration, you'll see that you can set the GAME folder to use the homebrew you want (2.71 or 1.50).
