Ok, so i just purchased my first PSP ever. It is brand new from walmart, PSP 3001 with version 5.02 software on it.
I do not have much time to read through tutorials to find out which has the info needed, so if its ok can i get some links so i can get pointed in the right direction and maybe a couple answers to the following questions.
Firstly, what all is needed to actually mod a PSP? (Memory Stick Duo, Certain game, etc.)
Second, after modding, am i able to back up these 2 games i also purchased so i do not need the disc to run them? As i work at a call center and that would makes things a lot easier.

Ok, so what ive read up about since this was posted is that there is some kind of system software called chickhen that enables you to load a CFW onto the PSP via Mem stick duo. That being said, is this tutorial correct about that or is it wrong?

Yup the 3001 and is not past the 5.03 software so i think im good on that part. The only issue is i do not have a Mem Duo card, so i cannot put any files on there.
I am taking it i will have to have one to mod the PSP correct?

Yes you do need a psp memory card to put the modding files on.

Ok, so heres some weird stuff. Someone at work told me there's a way to make the battery hack the PSP for you. I don't get exactly what he meant or how it's suppose to work but have any of you here ever heard this? _________________ Hotswap Tutorial|FTP Tutorial

I made one of those batteries before called a Pandora of Jig Kick Battery it works with a Magic Memory Stick with Pandora files on it and together they hack your psp. but it cannot be used on your psp model due to sony blocking all pandora on psp 3000-3001. _________________ Code Red by Team-Xerus
