Are you able to hold down the right trigger while turning on the PSP to receive a recovery menu?

Before you hit the power button, hold the right trigger down, turn the PSP on while still holding the trigger and let go of trigger if the screen starts lighting up. If this does not work shout another post back.

the bad news is you will not be able to recover without the pandora battery as it sounds like a full brick as the recovery menu does not come up which unfortunately that was the only way i can find to unbrick a psp without pandora battery and im afraid but any other website you will go to will tell you the same thing... I can help you find the cheapest battery for you if you want, otherwise in the meantime I will look further into it than from what I know so far but even im not having much luck :(
