Basically thats it; I downgraded the 2.0 psp to 1.5 successfully, but I can't seem to load any homebrew apps... I always get the same error 8002001.
This is when I try running the game Squares or when trying to run the 3.52 m33 firmware update.
Please help me if you can.

I perhaps downgraded to a 1.5 that wasn't custom.
I updated to 2.01 I am looking for another 1.5 to downgrade back to.
Hopefully that will fix my problem.

First off welcome to the HQ network, nice to see that you have joined us.
You will need to find a firmware that will support the homebrew apps and you will also need to make sure they are also in the right folders (i.e. snes9x_tyl, snes9x_tyl% in the GAME150 folder).
The 8002001 error is from using a emu, rom, or app for 1.00 on 1.50 firmware or one without a "%" folder so you should just get another emulator.
If your neogeocd roms are 7z files this means they will need to be fixed because a psp can't read correctly so you should stick with .zip.
Go to http://www.dohgames.com/ for some emulators which are assortment of roms and emus that are all fully compatable on the psp except for project64 and epsxe.

My problem was I needed to run the kxploit file that was installed along
w/ the downgrade b4 I could run any other homebrew off the psp.

Cool, that you got it on your own. I get that some times but is usually due to me having folder in wrong game directory.
